Well, it's from the save developers of \u201cHero of the Kingdom\u201d, a little and yet quite enjoyable game. I understand that Townopolis was released a while ago, but still, this one didn\u2019t aged very well in my opinion.

It\u2019s more of a puzzle game than a building management one, which is okay because I like puzzle games as well. The problem here is that Townopolis gets so repetitive and boring after the first 5 or 7 scenarios that I almost gave up on playing. The BGM keeps going over and over, always the same song. And there\u2019s no cancel option once you\u2019ve clicked to build or destroy something, and that was annoying as hell.

2\/10.. Bruh, it wasn't even worth $0.99 when it was on 75% sale. Unless you're rolling in it and cant be bothered with other games! This game is a lot like the countless free flash games on the internet. It was worth the 2 hours but after that it isn't worth $3.99.. Simply couldnt get in to it - the timed nature made the game frustrating not fun and the structure was incredibly limiting. It felt like Simcity toned down and made senselessly complicated.. If you like the time management\/strategy genre, I would recommend if on sale. It is a simple and cute game. I was pleased to see there were trading cards, achievements, a campaign mode and sandbox mode. It is more enjoyable if played for short periods of time so you don't get bored.. 2\/10.. Once again, I wish there was a "maybe" option. The reason I gave it a thumbs down is the way the game is marketed.

While that statement is completely true, it gives the impression the game is a city builder and a lot of the reviews below are calling it a city builder, but it's not.

Townopolis is a cross between a puzzle game and a time management game. The theme might be construction, but the game is about figuring out the optimal arrangement of your buildings to achieve the goals each level sets you. There is no sprawling map or freedom to build. You are provided with a small map consisting of tiles. Some you can build on, some you can clear and then build on, others can't be built on (factories etc.) and\/or cause negative happiness to the neighbouring tiles. You want to keep the residents happy, and every building type has positive or negative effects to those in the neighbouring tiles.

Now that is out of the way. I bought the game because it was cheap and I love city builders. To that end, I was disappointed. The game, however, is simple to learn, isn't very complex, there is no resource gathering other than waiting for rent to arrive, and if you like puzzle games and approach it as such, it's very casual but worth checking out.

The only real negative I had was the frequency buildings broke down. As soon as you get to 8 or more buildings, it seems one or two of them start breaking down at random every few seconds, so you have to frantically repair each of them manually and the game just becomes about time management at that point. Not to mention how annoying the break down sound effect is, when you are hearing it every 3 or 4 seconds.

It's cheap, it's casual, it can be fun, but buy it because it's a puzzle game, not a city builder, and you'll avoid disappointment.. 30 hours of fun for \u20ac3,99. Ain't not that bad. Great puzzle game, working fine on win7 and no bugs detected!!!. I got this game expecting it to be exactly as I expected it to be. It reminds me of a game called "Build-A-Lot", and it plays almost the same exact way. I dunno if its a rip-off of that game or not, I do not care really, as this game is fun to play when bored, and its the best investment of a game I have gotten. It was worth it, Buy this game if you like casual building.

Someone wrote on here in another posts rating it bad and comparing it to SimCity... this is nothing like SimCity as the population does not go any higher than 1500, and SimCity you could have a population of 500,000 plus bigger maps. This is a different game type than SimCity, and is more of a planning zones and placing the proper buildings in the proper places to make them happy.

I like playing the sandbox game and setting my own goals, its fun to reach those goals and feel accomplished everytime I finished them. The game has replayablility, and I keep coming back to play when I have time and not playing another game, or if I need a break from other games. It gives me something to do to kill the time with.
